Using A Sauna For Water Retention And High Blood Pressure - 04-01-2008

I notice a lot of bros are having water retention and high blood pressure issues, and so I have a theory that may work. I think it would help in the area of relaxation, water retention, high blood pressure, putting heat into the pinned area in order to relieve soreness, as well as cleaning out unwanted toxins and having an overall sense of well being afterwards....

I would like the more experienced bros who have taking gear, on a doctor’s prescription of course, to hit this thread and maybe it would help the other bros going through this high blood pressure and water retention issue. It is common sense to me, but I may be wrong....

What do you more experienced bros think about using a sauna for some of these guys who are having high blood pressure and water retention issues???

Sure, I understand, and hopefully they do as well, they still need to drink plenty of water, but this may help by pushing them to drink plenty of water. Plus it is a well known fact that the sauna helps in eliminating toxins from the body....

I would say, stay in the sauna as long as you can stand it, drink plenty of water, and make sure whatever you are sitting on is clean and/or sterile. Like a clean folded towel. Also, I would recommend taking a shower prior to entering the sauna and after you leave the sauna for cleanliness reasons. Furthermore, I say this because if you have a fresh pinned area you don’t want any infection crawling back up into that area of concern....

That is just my take on the issue. I could be wrong, but really don't see how it could hurt. Again, unless somebody knows something I don't. I'm just thinking out side of the box and applying a little common sense....

Don't see how it could hurt, keep hydrated and don't stay in there longer then 20 minutes though. Still don't rely JUST on that to cure high BP still take some good old hawthorn berries to keep it down.

Not a hot tub... A sauna is a hot box to sweat in... Also as Ironfuriur said, no longer than 20 minutes max, and even less if you can't stand it...

Last time I checked though, I don't think sweating will kill you bro... By all means don't cook yourself either....

Don't forget to drink plenty of water before and after, along with taking the other products mentioned (i.e. Hawthorn Berries). This is just an addition too, what you are already doing to keep your BP lower.
