I was afraid of that. To mitigate this risk, here's what I intend to do in a typical workout (this is a little more volume than normal for me. This is my Bench Press, but approach applies to Squat and Dead Lift too)
Target weight 345lbs
Warm Up- 135 x 5 x 3, 225 x 3, 315 x 1
Work Sets- 345 x 3 x 2, 315 x 5, 275 x 8
Assistance work:
Dumb Bell Bench Press- 100 x 10, 90 x 10, 80 x muscle failure
Flies (Machine) 3 set of 15 reps
Dips 3 sets of 20
All in all, i'm doing 4 exercises, 3 sets per exercise. I know it does not sound like much, but complete recovery is important- not as much during the first part of cycle, but definitely during the 2 half. I can lift much more when i'm not in pain from the last workout.
Anything that you can offer would be much appreciated. By the way what is "slin"???
