I am trying to figure out if it is still safe to use the gear from the vial. When I was opening the plastic cap from the vial I accidently ended up removing the metal part around the rubber stopper. When I inserted the needle and pushed some air from the syringe into the vial it pop open the rubber stopper and the stopper fell in the bathroom tub.

I filled the syringe while the stopper was off and then cleaned the rubber stopper inside-out with rubbing Alcohol and put the stopper back on the vial. Is it still safe to continue drawing gear from the vial through the stopper or have I spoiled the gear by exposing it to the air since air is not sterlized?

Unless you got something in it, you should be good to go... Good thing you thought about using the alcohol before reinserting the rubber stopper...

pre-load a bunch of pins bro, if not this can be very unsterile, the tiniest particle can cause an infection.

Your gear was already exposed to air inside the bottle before you opened it, and when you pull it in the syringe. So, the air isn't an issue. As long as you cleaned the rubber with alcohol you are good to go. Alcohol will kill almost anything.

Also, I had the same thing happen to me with one of my vials of prop. The metal and rubber came off with very little force. I lost half my gear from that vial. Contacted Axio support, and they hooked me up with another bottle, so no complaints here. Still had a few that were like that; shouldn't be the case though. But if you lost any gear during the process just let Axio know. A majority of my vials never had that issue. Now I check to see if the metal or rubber is trying to come off anytime I try and pop the cap.

Rex - How long the gear will be good for if I pre-load the syringes? Secondly, wouldn't the tiniest particle will be an issue even with pre-loading the syringes from this vial or am I missing something from your point, please clarify.

Rah - Yes I have injected and so far everything is fine but I filled this syringe before putting the stopper back on so I guess real test would be the subsequent injections.

I ment particals from the tub, pre-load them and they will last for a while( I would go 2-3 weeks max), keep them pin down when storing it, the BA might eat away at the rubber stopper in the syringe
