From what I have reserached, Haladrol 50 was a steroid that was banned, so Gaspari came out with Haladrol Liguigels to replace it... which is no where near as effective as the "steroid"...go figure...
Difference between 50 and LG (taken from Gaspari Nuritrion):
"Q: What is the difference between Halodrol-50
and Halodrol Liquigels?
A: Halodrol-50 is no longer made or distributed by Gaspari Nutrition. Halodrol-50 was strictly a designer steroid marketed as a prohormonal product. It has been replaced by Halodrol Liquigels which is predominantly a non-prohormonal product (Halodrol Liquigels does contain DHEA which is a DSHEA compliant prohormone to testosterone). Halodrol-50 contained 1 (one) active ingredient only (the prohormone) while Halodrol Liquigels contain 5 (five) active ingredients of which only 1 (one), DHEA is a prohormone. Thus, 80% of Halodrol Liquigels is non-prohormonal (the product contains Arachidonic Acid*, an anti-aromatic, an Russian ecdysterone, and a SHBG effector as well as DHEA). "
The only close to anabolic supplement in Halodrol liquigels is DHEA which is nowhere near as anabolic as Halodrol-50. There is a lot of literature that claims and points that DHEA increases estrogen while testosterone actually decreases some. Halodrol-50 manufactured by Gaspari Nutrition was a 4-chloro steroid closly similar to the long illicit steroid Oral Turanibol which had a long history and is responsible of the many German Olympic medals and success in the 1950s by the East German Olympic Doping Program.
Ingredient in the Illicit Steroid Oral Turanibol (STEROID):
4-chloro-17b-hydroxy-17a-methyl-androst-1,4-dien-3-one
AKA: 4-chloro-methyl-testosterone
Prohormone to Illicit Steroid Oral-Turanibol (PROHORMONE):
4-chloro-17-methyl-17-hydroxy-androst-4-ene-3-ol
Ingredient in Gaspari Nutrition Halodrol-50 (STEROID):
4-chloro-17a-methyl-androst-1, 4-diene-3, 17b-diol
Active Anabolic Ingredient in Gaspari Liqui-gels:
Hydroxyandrost-5-en-17-one
AKA: Dehydroepiandrosterone or slang DHEA
My point is that the previous posts posted on this thread lead you to believe that Halodrol Liqui-gels are far more effective than the old Halodrol-50. The active anabolic ingredient DHEA is not even a prohormone because it must undergo two conversions to become a steroid. Prohormones need to undergo one conversion to convert into its target steroid. DHEA must convert into a taget prohormone and has slim to no chance of converting into a steroid even at fatal doses of DHEA consumption by humans.
Fact of the matter is folks Halodrol Liquigels is a marketing scam with the name Halodrol. Marketing is their technique to make you believe that it is better than the old Halodrol-50 when it is not. Halodrol-50 was a steroid and was banned from production by Federal Authorities. This steroid was replaced with DHEA in Halodrol Liquigels. DHEA is not an effective muscle builder but may have anti-aging properties. Comapnies may lie in order to ultimately sell you their product so they can reap the profits. They do this by being tricky and listing old chemical nomenclature that is nood universally understood for DHEA so the anabolic ingredient is a mystery. But hey it must be anabolic because it has the halodrol brand right? wrong!
Genuine Halodrol-50 clones that contain the old steroid ingredient still exist. For example the company Fast Action sells H-Drol which is the same exact ingredient as the old banned Halodrol-50. Fast Action also sells M1T but you risk the chance of interception by customs overseas.
Just understand that you have to be smart when looking at a product. Its all marketing. I know about this because I previously received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Marketing. They tell you what you want to hearin order to make a profit. What you should do is research and get on supplement forums to hear feedback on a particular product before you buy it. Wow this is long....and Jax your a moderator you should know better than to give false information...if you don't know don't post....that simple....not a flame just constructive criticism.
