Ephedrine pills - 04-13-2007

I was told to come to this site beecause i had a question about the ephedrine pills sold on steroidspharmacy.net.

Ephedrine works great for my body but im allergic to certain inactive ingredients. All that i can gather from the pills on that site are that they contain 50mg of ephedrine and thats all it says, does anyone know what else these pills contain?

I would get ephedrine pills over the counter but the laws today are not very helpful. Plus the pills contain guafenesin which i have an allergy too.

Keep the things simple bro. If you have allergy just do not use the product.

Ephedrine itself has never been illegal in the United States. In 1997, the FDA proposed a regulation on ephedra (the herb from which ephedrine is obtained), which limited an ephedra dose to 8 mg with no more than 24 mg per day.[1] This proposed rule was withdrawn in part in 2000 because of "concerns regarding the agency's basis for proposing a certain dietary ingredient level and a duration of use limit for these products."[2] In 2004, the FDA created a ban on ephedrine alkaloids that are marketed for reasons other than asthma, colds, allergies, other disease, or traditional Asian use.[3] On April 14, 2005, the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah ruled that the FDA did not have proper evidence that low dosages of ephedrine alkaloids are actually unsafe,[4] but on August 17, 2006, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit in Denver upheld the FDA's final rule declaring all dietary supplements containing ephedrine alkaloids adulterated, and therefore illegal for marketing in the United States.[5] Ephedrine is, however, still legal in many applications outside of dietary supplements. However, purchasing is currently limited and monitored, with specifics varying from state to state.

The legality of ephedrine is really confusing. If you try hard enough you can easily find a legal way to get ahold of some. Problem for you is finding ephedra without compunds added to the product which causes allergies. Allergic reactions to especially amphetamine or other stimulant products can be pretty dangerous and in a lot of cases have be been fatal.

I say forget the ephedrine altogether. Get ahold of some clen. If you are looking to drop some body fat, clen is far more effective IMO. I am sure many agree with me on this. You also do not get that jittery and coming down feeling with clen as opposed to ephedrine. I think ephedrine feels really dirty. Get a hold of some clen and you will be much happier.

If your afraid of package interception....the Feds will not go out of their way to intercept a small package in most cases. Most of the mail-order products are small orders so they are not examined carefully by customs which is why there are businesses set up overseas that make a profit off Americans. Even if you did get your package intercepted you would almost definitely just get a letter in the mails from customs in the mail confirming your package is yours and you just end up throwing it away and then your not in their record books. Get a PO Box if your afraid and the problem is solved. They are only 10-20 dollars a month. Theres my .02 for ya....

i think you all are missing the point.

i am not allergic to Ephedrine or any alkaloids of the ephedra plant such as Pseudophedrine, Norephedrine, Norpseudoephedrine.

What i was asking is what ELSE the pills may contain, such as inactives?

Lactose for example is a common inactive ingredient in pills over-the-counter, i am lactose-intolerant, others contain silicon, and polyethylene glycol which is a form of rubber which aggrevates my stomach.

DRUG INTERACTIONS:
This drug is not recommended for use with other adrenalin-like drugs (e.g., caffeine, epinephrine, methylphenidate, pseudoephedrine). Also, avoid taking any MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, isocarboxazid, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) for at least 2 weeks before or after using this drug. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more details. Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially: beta-blockers (e.g., metoprolol, propranolol), other blood pressure medicine (e.g., guanethidine, methyldopa, reserpine, or alpha-blockers such as prazosin and terazosin), tricyclic antidepressants (e.g., amitriptyline, desipramine), "water pills" (e.g., furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide), digoxin, atropine, theophylline, oxytocin, certain anesthetics used in surgery (e.g., cyclopropane, halothane), certain herbal/natural medications (e.g., ma huang, St John's wort). 4. Are there groups that are particularly at high risk? What are the side effects?Products containing ephedrine are contra-indicated in heart disease, hypertension, thyroid disease, diabetes, enlarged prostate, anxiety and restlessness, glaucoma and pheochromocytoma. Ephedra/ephedrine aggravates these conditions and therefore should not be used except if recommended by and under the surveillance of a health care professional. It should also not be used during pregnancy and lactation.

Adverse effects of ephedrine can include dizziness, headache, decreased appetite, anxiety, restlessness or nervousness, gastrointestinal distress, irregular heartbeat, tachycardia, insomnia, flushing, sweating, hypertension, stroke, seizures, psychosis and death.

As well, due to the stimulant and euphoric properties of Ephedra/ephedrine, certain segments of the population are more likely to abuse these products, increasing the risk to their health.
