PCT and Mind Games - 08-03-2008

I just read a thread that barely touched on the psychological part of coming off gear. I just started my first cycle of Test C and I'm kind of worried about that. So I figured I start a thread and ask how some of you more experienced guys have dealt with the PCT mind games, giving us younger guys some heads up. What kinds of things do you do to offset that or do you just suck it up?

yeh unfortunatley gear will play games with your head from time to time, thatswhen you needto sit up and remember its just the gear, no-one is trying to fuk you around no-one is winding you up anymore than they usually would, its just you are more irritable than usual and you need to remember that, i only argue with the misses when im nearing the end of my cycles....any excuse for an argument and im good to go, pct is a bit like that
but you'll find you dont wanna fight people your more likely to get upset...its a real estrogen thing....clomid is especially like that, thats why i prefer to use an AI and tamoxifen as my base...

best advice i can give you from my experiences, avoid tren and any of the compounds which really bump anxiety, eq does that to me, and keep yourself busy, it will be difficult when you are feeling the withdrawels but keeping busy and spending a little more time doing things you enjoy really helps....the thing is you will drop some size post cycle and that can fuk with your head a bit, so a little less time in the gym for a short while standing next to the guys who dont come off or who are much bigger than you, can help your ego,

i like to get out and play sport a bit more, and cut back a bit on the training volume and aim to keep my intensity up....its all about trial and error, you'll know a few cycles down the road how your body will react. i prfer the fit/healthy bodybuilding approach when im not on a cycle, when i am its more about getting big, eating a ton of food and just thinking about weights all the fukin time...it rellly does turn you into a machine, you will defo not lack motivation.

best of luk

My bad, I didnt notice that someone had responded to this.

Yeah, that's exactly the kind of advice I'm looking for. Just wanna know how to stay on my feet and productive. I've heard pct can be hard for some guys, even to the point where they just wont do it and stay on for years.

BTW, is PCT easier if I lower the doses of test for the last few weeks? RIght now Im taking Test C, 500mg/w, bi-weekly. Would it be easier on recuperation of natural test if I just do 250 mg/w, bi-weekly (so half a cc per pin) for an extra two weeks, which would extend my cycle from 12 to 14 weeks?

if the androgens in your blood exceed a certain level which they would off of 250mg each week then your body is not going to recover any sooner.....this is why hcg is a nice addition to remind your nuts what to do while on a cycle.....tapering is old school...
i have read that a single dosing of orals once a day in the mornings helps the body adjust,
after all your natural test is at its highest opon waking...if you planned to do this id pop
50mg of proviron everyday for the last 2wks while your waiting for the test to clear.....

Bump,tapering is old school.
When I first started research on cycling, all the older kats(50 and up)would say tapering was the way to do it but times change and then nxt generation came up with their own theories and evdience as to way the new school way(employen AI's and anti e's at the end as well as unique dosing) work much better twords getten off the cycle and keeping all well.
