Left Arm Struggling!!! - 08-22-2008

Hey bro, I've just finally got back into lifting, and my left arm will not keep up with my right arm for shit! Like incline press is a bitch, my right arm will throw it up quick with furrey, but my left will struggle. When I do close grip I'm fine though. It's really beginning to piss me off because I don't feel like I'm getting my full potential because I won't get nearly as many reps or as much weight. Any suggestions bro's. Thanks. Matt

I'm in the same boat bro. When I'm not on cycle both arms are pretty even, but when on cycle, my right arm greatly surpasses my left. I'm 6 weeks in on a cycle and my right arm is 3/4 inch bigger and it's noticable What I have to do is add an extra 1-2 sets on my left arm on individual lifts and take away a set or 2 on my right for a fiew weeks, and usually I can get it to catch up...
Hope this helps bro

if its an injury rest is key to recover, otherwise try using dumbells, work on strengthening your rotator cuffs, that will help keep the joint tight and may prevent an injury in future....

internal and external rotations are ideal

I had the same issue, but only with bench... I got a friend to record me while i was doing the exercise and my form was off. on my right side (weaker side) i was using my sholder more than my chest. Anyway, my suggestion is to maybe spend a bit of time looking at your form to make sure you're working both sides evenly.
