depends on your goal, bulking requires less cardio as you are trying to gain weight, cutting requires more as you are trying to loose bf and burn more fat as fuel....as with your diet, deficient calories or surplus....

Agreed, I do cardio no matter what, whether im on a bulking cycle or a cutting cycle, if nothing else its great for your heart and wind endurance which is important as you well know in any kind of training..........

Also Agree,Cardio is very important.

I mix in 3 days of cardio with my 5 day workouts, plus i walk at least 1/2 everyday.

What's the basis for cardio, i always do 40-60 minutes because i want to be more vascular - i keep reading i'm doing too much, after 20 minutes i should be getting off and getting on with my workout.

But i also read, doing large groups like chest and legs PRE cardio is better for fat loss and trying to do 40 minutes. I personally think, as long as i do it - it doesnt matter!

What's the scientific, bodybuilder reasoning for no more than 20 mins, from what i've read it's not too catabolic, you wont waste away!

Cardio should always be done pre-workout, at at least 45 mins.

This way all your muscles are nice and warm, and have less chance for injury.

It all depends on your goal?

If you want to be nice and lean then do more cardio training.

If building mass, then mix-in 3 days of cardio, if working out 5/6 days a week. do at least 45mins cardio, then start your work out.
the 20mins you read is most likely just a warm up.

Also anyone mixing D-bol in there cycle should really do cardio.

Cardio will help keep the "Bloat" off.

But decide for yourself, everyone will tell you something different.
Do what you think is the best for you.

If your a runner, then cardio is 90%.
If your a body builder then lifting is 90%

For me, it depends on the length of the workout. If I'm doing a 30 minute high intensity set, I always do 15 minutes warm-down cardio (jog, swim, row etc). The 15 minutes after routine is an easy way to fit in the cardio without changing your normal workout routine.

If I'm spending 45 minutes to 1 hour in my workouts, I usually split my training into AM cardio, PM weights + 15 minutes cardio.

For cutting or for aerobic stamina, I switch to 1 hour cardio PM (or jog from work to home). It burns that fat off fast (which shouldn't be a problem if you're on the juice) and keeps the heart healthy.

i prefer swimming for cardio, keeps me supple and lean, running just burns me out, if i do run i prefer interval training for 20mins opposed to an hour of cardio....
