MONTREAL PRO SET FOR SATURDAY
There will be no shortage of storylines when professional bodybuilding returns to Canada at the Montreal Pro on Saturday, where some of the top names in the ranks will be battling it out north of the border.
First and foremost, the contest features Chris Cormier's return to the competitive stage. Cormier, written off a year ago after a severe back injury left him hospitalized and unable to walk for nearly a month, looks to be back and form and could punctuate his return with a win in Montreal. With Darrem Charles, Johnnie Jackson, Quincy Taylor and possibly Troy Alves standing in his way, it won't exactly be easy, as the contest is shaping up to be one of the deepest and competitive fields to date in 2007.
Jackson, Charles and Taylor finished 1-2-3 at last year's Montreal Pro. Both Jackson and Taylor will be looking to return to form after disappointing finishes so far in 2007 and - at least - grab one of the three Olympia qualifications given out at the contest. Charles, meanwhile, has won at least one contest a year over the last five years, and is hungry to make it six in Canada.
