Well my gf is one of those girls that can't do shit unless her parents permit her. Like she cant even go out with me alone unless her friends go. This girl is 17 and soon to be 18 in june. I know things will change in june and shit or atleast i hope they do. I just rented a 100 dollar tux right now for her prom and now i gotta buy a prom ticket for me which is 85 and this girl tells me that she is staying in a hotel with her friends that night that i can go and shit etc but not stay to sleep. And i told her why don't we rent one ourself or why don't you go with me to sleep at my house like at 5am and she says because her friends parents are sleeping in the other room and will be checking up on the girls. Man this got me so mad..sometimes i want to break up with this girl because fuck that im a grown man who shouldn't have to be putting up with this shit but i feel like if i dump her now all my hard work will go to waste since when she turns 18 she will get freedom. She complains that she hates the fact that she has to deal with her not being able to go out alone and shit with me too but what i tell her is that she chooses to be like.. this girl when her parents tell her no she just stays quiet im like bro fucking question them rebel do something, thats the only reason your always locked up and shit by your parents. Seriously if your daughter has been dating someone for 10 months don't you think they would be allowed to go out alone like wtf.. anyways im sorry for the long write or if i wasted your time but im really upset.

this is true, and you said you hope things change when she turns 18, so when she does turn 18 and is still the same, then ur hard work is still wasted, my ole lady is the same way, juss did what i needed to do, she came along or didnt, dont let her or anything hold you back....juss my 2 sents

Look on the bright side bro, your only spending $185 for prom i went to 4 and ended up spending well over a 1k for them combined . Asses your priorities bro, are you just looking to get a little somethin' somethin' from her or do you actually like her? gotta agree with the other guys. this girls not gonna change when shes 18. if you mean change like, she goes off to college and tastes some freedom for herself....man thats even worse. let the chains loose on a girl whos been shackled for 18 yrs....something bound to happen. shes young, free and if at a party with alcohol....you can guess that equation. only thing i can see is a lot of drama and headaches from that. but if you love her...like really love her...like, "man i wanna marry her"...then go with your guts.
