Help with Cutting diet. - 04-25-2008

Alright, im in a cutting phase. The foods I have in mind are...

Rice Cakes
Rice
Chicken
Steak
Eggs
Multi-grain Bread
protein shakes. 3g carb 1g fat 27 pro w/ amino's
Ham
Turkey
Tuna
Milk
Green Beans

Maint. is approx 3100 calories.

I'm having trouble organizing the diet to suit my needs, training is around 5pm. I work 10 hours a day. Anywhere from 5am-4pm.

I have done the Anabolic Diet for 2 weeks, but it was not suitable for me at the time. I didn't gain weight, but actually lost weight. 3lbs. I feel I am carb sensitive.

My job requires traveling therefore, I keep things in my truck, in a cooler.

I noticed that on your list you dont have any fresh fruits . Try adding it. Some bananas, apple, watermelon ,strawberries and etc. Then adding more vegetables on your chicken, tuna, turkey and ham. That's better .

Hey, im a little confused to what youre trying to get out of your diet plan sorry.

" I didn't gain weight, but actually lost weight. 3lbs" ...are you trying to cut down or bulk up? if you're cutting down you can expect to lose weight.

you're diet seems to be pretty lean foods but a more specific plan would be better. You need to concertrate on eating through out the day, this will stimuate your metabolisum, smaller meals though. I eat every 2 - 2.5 hours.

by the sounds of things you do alot of sitting around in your job, I have an office job so I tend to be sitting for most of the day. I find it better to do my cardio in the mornings before work and my weights after.

HUGE BIMP ON BB i find hand sized portion every two hours optimal the key to remember is you should always feel satisfied not full or hungry if you feel hungry thats bad as it is a warning your body will go into a canabilistic mode no you wont bite your buddies just means your body will target you muscle tissue to break down for a food source...Which is not good..

Its suprising that the first food listed is rice cakes. Back in the day rice cakes was the food of choice when dieting, until research determined that you are better off eating pound cake. You need to get rid of that altogther, except if used in conjuction with a post workout carb. Those carbs in rice cakes are too high on the GI scale, even higher then muffins or dougnuts. What this means is that you will spike blood sugar levels, therefore making your insulin release conducive to storing body fat.

Your second item which is rice, should be mostly brown rice. Regular white rice is a fast carb, and if eating a lot can increase fat. Bown rice is a complex carb and its steady release will most likely be burned off during the day.

Your focus on each meal should be some type of complex carb, protein, low to moderate amount of fat, and fiber from a vegetable (usually the green vegetables, such as brocolli, green beens). This will aid in slowing down the process of digestion and energy release.

big bump - great info..
you really need to break down your daily routine of eating into times and what you plan to eat. As well as fruits you need to add veggies - plates of the stuff, there are so many natural vits and minerals in them they are a must in any diet
