When you swap out the first needle with a fresh one prior to injection, you should not have an air bubble as long as you press a few droplets out. I usually press a few droplets of gear out, very insignificant in the amount, this way there is a bit of lubrication, and helps with the inject.
Also, a little bubble won't do any harm, just might make u even more sore, but best to get rid of it.
