I like my quads alot easier for me to do for some reason. just remember one fail swoop right into the muscle. There are alot of pros and cons about asperaiting however my doctor said not to in the quads. He said there is some much dense muscle highly likely you are no where near a vien.
Hunter is right though leg day will be a bitch i promise on that. is what i did is took my shot 4 days before leg day perfect time to adjust.
As far as not looking forward to the next shot Trust me you will start to want them

they do get easier and easier.
