Shake - Before, After, During?? -

Title is pretty self-explanatory really. My gym shake consists of about 30-40g protein, about 8g carbs and some L-glute. But shall it be taken just before workout, during or after?I know its the ultimate question that cannot ever really be answered but what is the general consensus that people keep to..??Im assuming just after??
At the mo im taking it as i workout on the basis that, my workout time is aprox. 1hr and a 1/2. Once started if i waited to the end of the workout to have it, i would already be 1 1/2 hrs into my protein intake (2hr) window for my first exercise I did. And combined with digestion time, i might miss the window altogether. So for this reason i do during.
Peoples thoughts/opinions please.
