i am in a similar situation i had a moving violation for late indicator at a turn the dumb cop pulled me over and gave me a ticket for it i as him "are you joking me i did turn my indicator on correct" dumb cop told me not to talk to him like that. So i replied " as long as i am providing your pay check I'll talk to you however i want. He got pissed but what could he do i was right. So the court sends me a ticket for $211 dollars case closed then i send the check in 5 days before it is due and due to the holidays it takes 7 days to get there not my fault. boom they cash the check and send me another bill for $300 as a late fee. 142% mark up on a ticket talk about criminal. They bend the law to make money pisses me off.
